We are a full-service animal hospital serving at both our Carmel and Fishkill, New York locations. Our veterinary team makes it our priority to ensure that animals are comfortable during their visits with us by offering tender treatment and a relaxing atmosphere.
We provide the best service to our patients and clients by constantly improving and expanding our knowledge and skills. We treat each client with warmth, courtesy, and respect and act as our patients’ advocates through client education and honest recommendations.
AHAA Accredited
Companion Pet Hospital has been accredited by the prestigious American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) as a certified hospital member since 1987 and was recently recognized for practicing the gold standard of veterinary medicine for 25 consecutive years. Only 12 percent of all small animal hospitals in the U.S. have achieved accreditation by the Association, and it is an important milestone to delivering quality pet care. AAHA is the only organization in the U.S. and Canada that accredits companion animal hospitals based on standards that go above and beyond state regulations.
Our Services
We are a full-service veterinary health care facility. In addition to the services listed below, we are fortunate to have convenient access to board-certified specialists in surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, radiology, and ultrasonography for either onsite or outside referral and consultation.

It was my first visit for four puppies, and I was nervous. The staff and the doctor were so very reassuring and they treated the puppies with such care, that I quickly knew the puppies were truly in wonderful hands. From the preregistration on-line paperwork for each puppy, to email confirmation everything was done with such organization that it made the puppies visit run so smoothly. I can't wait to make the next appointments for my adult dogs, because I have faith they will be cared for by a wonderful team of professionals!
The professionals at Companion Pet Hospital treated me with kindness and understanding. My dog was undergoing anesthesia for dental cleaning and they answered all of my questions and reconfirmed the details of the procedure ahead of time. Noticed my kitty wasn’t feeling well and I’m new to the area so I looked up vets near me and I’m glad I found Companion Pet Hospital! They took me in the same day and were very professional, sweet and took the time to explain what went on (since it’s curb side right now due to covid). Will definitely be coming back!
